State of the art techniques are applied to consider interactions and multivariable constraints: with an in-house software that uses Parallel Coordinates Technique, Alpha Process Control can evaluate the optimal process performances in a multivariable multi-constrained environment.

The Parallel Coordinates Technique is integrated by traditional statistical techniques: frequency and cumulative distributions, scatter plots, multi-trend plots.

Refinery and Petrochemical processes have strongly interacting equipment; multiple constraints could be active at the same time. A standard statistical approach is often not enough to catch the real multivariable nature of the process and the resulting analysis is not complete.

Alpha Process Control has developed a standardized procedure for multi-fractionator and 2-product columns, based on first principle analysis. Alpha soft sensors are a cornerstone in your process to control the product qualities even in the case of major disturbances:

Crude switch, swift change in operating conditions, disturbances in the coil outlet temperature of heaters etc. Our methodology allows calculating the internal liquid/vapour traffic in main fractionators, providing not only possible inferential input variables, but also the possibility of controlling the internal reflux ratios of multi-fractionators with an MPC application.

Alpha Quality Inferential method, also certified under ISO9001 protocols, gives direct estimation of the quality that is measured by LAB analysis, ensuring the perfect balance on accuracy and consistency of the inferred quality.
